Northern Arizona Trails and Ales - Guided Hiking and Brewery Tour

CLOSE WINDOW

Northern Arizona Trails and Ales: Prescott, Williams, Flagstaff, Sedona
Sample Itinerary

Actual hikes vary from trip to trip, but our itinerary will go something like this:

Day 1
The tour starts with arrival at the Phoenix airport, where you can transfer by shuttle to our meeting point in Prescott. Prescott is a charming small town tucked at the base of the Bradshaw mountains. Wander by Victorian homes and Old West bars in the quaint downtown shopping district. We'll have a welcome dinner at the Prescott Brewing Company and introduction to Prescott before settling in to our lovely downtown hotel. (Marriott SpringHill Suites Prescott)

Day 2
Prescott, named one of the next great adventure towns by National Geographic Adventure, is surrounded by great hiking trails. One of my favorite hikes in Prescott is through the Granite Mountain Wilderness, a beautiful hike through forests of pine, oak and agave with the rounded boulders of Granite Mountain towering thousands of feet above us. Return to Prescott for a second night and dinner at the Raven Cafe and Tap Room. (Marriott SpringHill Suites Prescott)

Day 3
We'll transfer in the morning to Flagstaff with a stop in Williams, along Historic Route 66, where we'll enjoy spectacular views of Arizona's second largest canyon as we hike along the Sycamore Rim Trail. Dinner at the Beaver Street Brewery (Comfort Inn Flagstaff)

Day 4
We'll drive through Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona, one of the prettiest locations you'll ever find. Sedona is surrounded by a brilliant landscape of red buttes, natural arches, ancient archeological sites, and lush streams. The sunsets here are simply unforgettable! Stay in the impeccable Arroyo Roble Hotel, with fabulous views and situated an easy walking distance to Sedona's shops and restaurants. Enjoy a short hike, head out on a jeep tour, or just relax in town. (Arroyo Roble)

Day 5
After breakfast at our hotel, we'll say our good-byes and leave for our post-trip destinations. A shuttle van can take you back to Phoenix.

VIEW ITINERARY

Our tour starts at the Marriott Springhill Suites in downtown Prescott, once the capital of Arizona, it is surrounded by ponderosa pine forests, towering granite peaks and home to the award winning Prescott Brewing Company! We'll spend two nights here before transferring to Flagstaff with a stop in Williams, along Historic Route 66, where we'll enjoy spectacular views of Arizona's second largest canyon as we hike along the Sycamore Rim Trail. We will spend the evening in the Comfort Inn, at the base of the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff, and enjoy dinner at the award winning Beaver Street Brewery. After breakfast we will drive through Oak Creek Canyon winding our way down to Sedona where striking red canyon walls and lush, riparian areas create an unforgettable landscape. We will be staying at the Arroyo Roble which overlooks Oak Creek and is a short walk from Oak Creek Brewing Company.

We'll have guided hikes each day, as well as plenty of opportunity to enjoy the towns and wonderful handcrafted beers that the local breweries have to offer.

Our days will start with a full breakfast at our hotel - your choice of eggs, pancakes, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice - which gives us the energy needed for the day ahead. Then we'll be out on the trail, exploring the wonderful landscapes Arizona has to offer.

Each morning, you'll be handed a lunch to carry, and at a mid-point along the way we'll choose a beautiful spot to stop and enjoy our picnic. We get a lot of compliments on our imaginative lunches - making them something to look forward to as well!

We should finish our hikes around 3pm, giving you time to wash up, relax at the hotel, or perhaps do a bit of sightseeing on your own. Later, we'll enjoy delicious dinners together at the local brewery!

Includes: Daily transportation, two nights accommodation at the Marriott Springhill Suites in downtown Prescott, one nights accommodation at the Comfort Inn Flagstaff, one nights accommodation at the Arroyo Roble in Sedona, breakfast and handcrafted lunches each day and dinner each night. Does not include drinks at dinner.
